LSU Football Adds Two New Signees on Surprisingly Quiet Signing Day

LSU wrapped up a low-key National Signing Day by quietly strengthening both sides of the ball with two under-the-radar additions.

LSU Adds Two Key Pieces on a Quiet National Signing Day

It wasn’t the fireworks-filled National Signing Day we’ve come to expect, but LSU quietly made some important moves to shore up its roster. The Tigers added two new names to their 2026 class on Wednesday - both three-star prospects with intriguing upside and a clear path to contribute down the line.

Let’s break down what LSU is getting in offensive tackle Adrian Lamb and safety Jackson Williams.

Adrian Lamb: A JUCO Addition With SEC-Ready Size

At 6-foot-5 and 290 pounds, Adrian Lamb brings the kind of frame LSU covets in the trenches. The redshirt sophomore out of Georgia Military College is rated the No. 29 junior college offensive tackle in the country and the No. 9 overall player in South Carolina, per 247Sports. That’s not just filler - that’s a player who’s been battle-tested at the JUCO level and held his own.

Lamb committed to LSU on Monday after taking an official visit to Baton Rouge over the weekend. He chose the Tigers over some serious SEC competition, including Alabama, Auburn, and South Carolina. That kind of offer list speaks volumes about how Lamb is viewed across the region - he’s not just a depth piece, he’s someone who could push for playing time sooner than later.

He becomes the second JUCO offensive lineman in LSU’s 2026 class, joining JaKolby Jones from Copiah-Lincoln Community College. Jones, listed at 6-foot-4 and 285 pounds, is ranked as the No.

15 JUCO offensive tackle in the country. Together, they give LSU a pair of experienced, physically mature linemen who can help stabilize the depth chart and compete in the trenches of the SEC.

For a program that’s always looking to reload up front, especially with the physical demands of the conference, these are the kinds of additions that can pay off quickly.

Jackson Williams: A Homegrown Safety With Winning Pedigree

On the defensive side, LSU locked in a commitment from Jackson Williams, a 6-foot-2, 180-pound safety out of Archbishop Shaw High School in Marrero, Louisiana. Williams is ranked as the No. 163 safety nationally and the No. 49 player in the state of Louisiana in the 2026 class.

But rankings only tell part of the story. Williams is a winner - plain and simple.

He helped lead Archbishop Shaw to three state championships during his four-year high school career. That kind of experience matters, especially in a program like LSU where expectations are sky-high every season.

Williams originally signed with Washington State back in December, but after head coach Jimmy Rogers left for Iowa State, he was granted a release from his National Letter of Intent. That opened the door for LSU to swoop in, and after an official visit to Baton Rouge on January 17-18, he committed on the spot.

The Tigers weren’t the only ones interested. Williams also held offers from Florida State, Tulane, South Alabama, UL-Lafayette, and Texas State. But in the end, staying home and playing for LSU proved too good to pass up.

What These Signings Mean for LSU

Neither Lamb nor Williams is a five-star headline grabber, but both fill important needs for LSU. Lamb adds depth and competition to the offensive line - an area where you can never have too many capable bodies. Williams, meanwhile, brings size, athleticism, and a winning mindset to a secondary that’s always looking for playmakers.

For LSU, this was a low-key but productive signing day. No drama, no last-minute flips - just two players who fit what the Tigers want to build. And sometimes, those are the signings that end up making the biggest difference.
