Saturday night’s LSU-Ole Miss showdown already has plenty of edge, and the family around Lane Kiffin is making one thing clear: keep it respectful.

9 Ole Miss at Vaught-Hemingway Stadium, the buildup has been loud ever since Kiffin left the Rebels during last season’s College Football Playoff. That move has fueled a stream of trash talk, but some of it has gone well past the line.
Kiffin’s family has been caught in the crossfire, including his daughter Landry, who has dealt with classless and inappropriate jokes. After that, Kiffin’s ex-wife Layla posted a message on social media that was hard to miss. Wearing a shirt that said, “Not my first rodeo,” she wrote, “Be nice, it’s so much easier:).”
Layla did not name the game directly, but the timing was obvious.
Her post came after Landry addressed the issue herself in a TikTok video, calling out the posts and banners she saw tied to the game.
“I usually don’t respond to any hateful posts around game days, but this one actually hurts,” she said in a TikTok video.
“I opened my phone this morning to pictures of banners on houses around Oxford posted on different accounts saying really inappropriate things about me. I think that turning a girl into the punchline of a sexual joke because you’re upset at somebody she’s related to should not be okay.”
The message from both women is simple: family should be off limits.
