Landry Kiffin spent her Saturday heading in a very different direction from her dad’s football world.
While LSU head coach Lane Kiffin was off enjoying some nearby hot yoga, his daughter was making the trip to Dallas for the Red River Rivalry at the Cotton Bowl, where top-ranked Texas faced Oklahoma. Instead of leaning into her usual purple and gold, she showed up in burnt orange and Hook ’em Horns gear.
On TikTok, Landry posted her game day switch-up with a Longhorns hat, white tank top, and khaki pants, matching outfits with her friend Jade. She captioned the video, “Imposter for the day.”
She followed that up with another video from the road, saying she was “scouting the competition,” even if the timing was tight.
“Happy game day. We’re going to spy on Texas today.
The game starts in 8 minutes,” Landry said. “Just leaving.
And we’re 30 minutes away. But we’ll make it there.
We will get there. And we’re gonna stay.
And we’re gonna have a time. I love my belt.”
Landry’s Texas detour comes as she has not been backing LSU the way she has in recent weeks. The source notes that could be connected to her boyfriend, star linebacker Whit Weeks, being out with a fractured right fibula, or it could simply be her getting an early look ahead to next month’s LSU-Texas matchup.
As for that Tigers-Longhorns meeting, it is set for Saturday, November 14, at Tiger Stadium in Baton Rouge during Week 12 of the season.

LSU Freshman WR Is Forcing A Rethink Before Kentucky
LSUs receiver room already had plenty of moving parts before Corey Barber Jr. made himself harder to ignore. Under coach Lane Kiffin, the Tigers have brought in nine wide receivers through the transfer portal, and that kind of depth usually means every snap has to be earned. But the true freshmans standout showing against McNeese gave LSU something it could not fake in a crowded rotation: a young player forcing his way into the conversation.
Now the focus turns to Kentucky, where Barber and Kansas State transfer Jayce Brown are both in line to battle for playing time. Brown arrived with the kind of rsum that typically buys a longer look, but Barbers emergence has added a new wrinkle to how LSU may handle the position group going forward. For a team already sorting through a loaded receiver mix, the next game will say a lot about how quickly the freshmans rise can turn from a one-game spark into a real role. [Read more 🡒]
Ed Orgeron Just Took A Big Step In His LSU Return
Ed Orgerons return to LSU has taken another noticeable step, as the former Tigers head coach and current special assistant joined the football team on its road trip to Kentucky. It was his first trip with the program since a health issue in August kept him away, and it adds another layer to a reunion that has already had a real football purpose, with Orgeron involved in recruiting as LSU continues to lean on a familiar face.
Lane Kiffin confirmed Orgeron is back around the program and spoke about both his health and his presence with the Tigers. Even so, Orgeron is not expected to be on the sideline for the Kentucky game, leaving his return in a sort of middle ground for now: close enough to matter, not quite complete enough to answer every question about how this comeback will look moving forward. Nick Saban Had GameDay Debating One Unexpected Biopic Question
Nick Saban turned a routine College GameDay stop in Tuscaloosa into something a little more unusual when the crew started riffing on a hypothetical biopic about his life. The timing fit the moment: ESPN had just released a six-part documentary on Sabans career, directed by Russell Dinallo and packed with interviews from notable figures, giving the longtime Alabama coach another wave of attention on a show already built around the lead-up to Georgia-Alabama.
The conversation came with the set moved indoors because of weather, and Bryce Young serving as the guest picker, which only added to the feeling that this was one of those GameDay mornings where the football and the offbeat conversation blended together. For LSU fans watching the broader SEC picture, it was another reminder of how Saban still looms over the sport, with even a casual biopic debate becoming part of the buildup to a marquee matchup.
