Bidunga’s production at Kansas backs up the price tag. He finished with 13.3 points, 9.0 rebounds and 2.6 blocks per game, earning All-Big 12 First-Team honors and the Big 12 Defensive Player of the Year award after leading the conference in blocks.
On3 noted that the valuation model is not a projection of what Bidunga is worth, but is “designed to track athletes’ compensation from colleges/collectives.” Still, the number underlines just how much Louisville invested in its portal push and how central Bidunga is to what the Cardinals are building.
For Louisville fans, the appeal is obvious: a 6-foot-9 center who protects the rim at an elite level and arrives with star power to match. Six million is a staggering figure, but it also reflects why Bidunga is the name everyone keeps circling in mid-July.
