Louisville has filled two more spots on its 2026-27 non-conference calendar, and both will come at home inside the KFC Yum Center.
The first date lands on Wednesday, Dec. 16, when the Cardinals will host Long Island. The Sharks are coming off an NCAA Tournament appearance, adding another confirmed opponent to a schedule that is already starting to take shape.
Three days later, on Dec. 19, Louisville will welcome Eastern Michigan.
The Eagles finished 10-21 in 2025-26, then moved on from head coach Stan Heath after the season. Eastern Michigan has since hired former Clemson associate head coach Billy Donlon to lead the program.
With those games now locked in, Louisville’s non-conference slate includes a mix of exhibitions, neutral-site matchups and high-profile road tests. The Cardinals open with an Oct. 21 exhibition at Kansas before returning home for Nov. 2 against Chattanooga and Nov. 7 against Morehead State.
The November stretch gets much busier from there. Louisville is set for the Players Era Festival in Las Vegas, beginning Nov. 24 against Texas Tech.
The next two rounds follow on Nov. 26 and Nov. 27, with the Cardinals slated to face either St. John’s or Oregon, then one of Tennessee, Iowa State, Maryland or San Diego State.
A Players Era Festival championship game on Nov. 28 remains a possibility.
After that, the schedule shifts back to major non-conference play. Louisville hosts Texas in the ACC-SEC Challenge on Dec. 1, then plays Michigan in Detroit on Dec. 5 before traveling to Kentucky on Dec. 12.
Two other games remain listed as to be determined: a matchup with Baylor that is rumored to be Jan. 23 in Nashville, and a road game at Memphis State.
By the current count, Louisville still has one open non-conference slot to fill. That game, if it gets added, would likely land in early to mid-November.
