Ryan Conwell emerged as the hero for the Cardinals, delivering two crucial shots in the final 1:17, finishing with 16 points. Vangelis Zougris provided a personal 6-0 run during a pivotal 19-10 closing stretch. With 5:02 left on the clock, Louisville found themselves trailing by a single point, but Conwell's timely three-pointer with just over a minute remaining swung the momentum in their favor for good.
Conwell didn't stop there, adding another bucket while SMU faltered, missing their last seven shots, sealing their fate.
Despite missing Mikel Brown Jr. due to a back injury, Louisville's resilience shone through. Now, they set their sights on Miami, with their next matchup scheduled for tomorrow at 2:30 p.m.
