Louisville football is making waves in the college football recruiting scene, thanks to the dynamic duo of Jeff Brohm and Vince Marrow. With their recruiting prowess, the Cardinals are quickly becoming a force to be reckoned with, especially in the 2027 recruiting class, where they've already secured seven commitments and are sitting pretty at No. 5 in the national rankings.
A key factor in Louisville's rise is their dominance in recruiting within Kentucky. They've snagged Louisville native and 4-star standout Allen Evans, who ranks as high as No. 39 in the 2027 class and is a top-tier cornerback prospect.
But the Cardinals aren't stopping there. They're setting their sights on another local sensation for the 2028 class: 5-star defensive lineman Kellan Hall. Hall is a hot commodity, and Louisville is among 10 schools vying for his attention with a spring visit on the horizon.
Hall is one of the crown jewels of the 2028 recruiting class, ranked as high as No. 8 overall and the top defensive lineman, not to mention the No. 1 prospect from Kentucky. His impressive sophomore season at Christian Academy of Louisville saw him earn Rivals All-American honors, thanks to his 53 tackles, 17.5 tackles for loss, and 6.5 sacks.
The competition is fierce, with schools like Oklahoma, Notre Dame, Kentucky, Georgia, and Ohio State also in the mix. Oklahoma is set to host Hall on March 7, followed by Missouri, Notre Dame, Tennessee, and others. Louisville and Virginia Tech are still finalizing their visit dates.
After outmaneuvering powerhouses like Alabama and Indiana to secure Evans, Brohm and Marrow are gearing up for another recruiting battle. Landing Hall would be a major coup, elevating Louisville's status and solidifying their place among college football's elite recruiting programs. The Cardinals are clearly on a mission, and their efforts are putting the rest of the nation on notice.
