Louisville's 2027 recruiting class is making waves, and it's no wonder why fans are buzzing. With head coach Jeff Brohm and recruiting ace Vince Marrow at the helm, the Cardinals are stepping up their game, positioning themselves among college football's elite.
Already boasting seven commitments, including four coveted 4-star recruits, Louisville's class is shaping up to be one for the history books. For a program that's never cracked the top 20 in recruiting rankings, sitting at No. 5 nationally is a monumental leap.
Leading this impressive group is 4-star cornerback Allen Evans. A local talent from Louisville, Evans is the sixth-highest rated recruit in the program's history, ranked No. 39 in the 2027 class and No. 6 among cornerbacks. His commitment signals a strong local pipeline that the Cardinals are tapping into.
Joining Evans are offensive standouts D'Angelo White and Chuck Alexander. White, hailing from Ohio, chose Louisville over powerhouse programs like Ohio State and Alabama.
He's ranked No. 240 overall, showcasing his versatility as both an athlete and a tight end. Alexander, another offensive weapon, turned down over 25 offers, including ones from Indiana and Kentucky, to don the Cardinals' red.
He stands at No. 301 overall and is a top-40 wide receiver.
Rounding out this formidable quartet is quarterback Jack Sorgi. The 6-foot-3 Indiana native was the first to commit back in June 2025 and has since risen to a 4-star status. Ranked No. 263 overall, Sorgi is poised to be a cornerstone for the Cardinals' future.
Though it's early in the recruiting cycle, Louisville's momentum shows no signs of slowing. With eyes on 4-star prospect Jordan Haskins, who will announce his decision on March 6, the Cardinals are setting the stage for a potentially historic class. Brohm and his team are making a statement: Louisville is here to compete with the best.
