Louisville Football Stuns Fans With Major Recruiting Update on 4-Star WR

Louisville football is making strong strides in its 2027 recruiting class, edging closer to securing local 4-star receiver Cam Wade amidst national competition.

Louisville's football program is making waves in the 2027 recruiting scene, with the Cardinals eyeing multiple 4-star prospects. Recent predictions from On3 Sports and Rivals have Louisville as the frontrunner for Haskins, with a 96 percent chance of securing his commitment.

In another exciting development, Louisville remains in contention for Maleek Lee, a 4-star defensive lineman from Florida. The Cardinals are in a fierce battle with Ohio State and Florida, showcasing their recruiting prowess. Currently ranked No. 7 nationally, Louisville's 2027 class already boasts more 4-star commitments than last year's, highlighting the impact of Vince Marrow's recruitment strategy.

Adding to the excitement, 4-star wide receiver Cam Wade has included Louisville in his final four choices, alongside FSU, LSU, and Maryland. Wade, who initially had six schools on his list, trimmed it down, adding Florida State in the process.

Wade has been on Louisville's radar for some time, having visited during the Cardinals' game against Eastern Kentucky. A Kentucky native, Wade is ranked No. 3 in the state, with impressive stats from his time at Paducah Tilghman High School, including 53 catches for 821 yards and 14 touchdowns.

Nationally, Wade stands at No. 167 and is the 27th-ranked wide receiver for the 2027 class. Louisville has a strong track record with recruits from Paducah Tilghman, having secured 4-star offensive tackle Jarvis Strickland in 2026.

Wade's recent visit to Florida State for Junior Day has positioned them as a strong contender, but On3 Sports still favors Louisville with a 31.3 percent chance of landing his commitment. Jeff Brohm and Vince Marrow are making significant strides in Kentucky, already securing the state's top recruit, Allen Evans.

While there's no set timeline for Wade's decision, Louisville fans are eagerly watching. With seven commitments in the 2027 class, including four 4-stars, the Cardinals are poised for a standout recruiting year.
