Louisville Cardinals Announce Spring Practices Open to Fans with Exciting Twist

Spring is in the air, and that means football is back in Louisville. Coach Jeff Brohm's Cardinals are gearing up for the 2026 season with spring practice kicking off on March 17. This marks the beginning of a 15-practice schedule, culminating in the much-anticipated spring game in mid-April.

Brohm, now in his fourth year at the helm, is coming off a strong 2025 season where he led the Cardinals to a 9-4 record, finishing with a thrilling 27-22 win over Toledo in the Boca Raton Bowl. The team is looking to build on that success, and fans will have the chance to get an early glimpse of the action.

Five of the spring practices will be open to the public, offering fans a sneak peek at what the 2026 Cardinals have in store. Here are the dates and times for those open sessions:

  • Tuesday, March 17 - 3:45 p.m.
  • Wednesday, March 18 - 3:45 p.m.
  • Friday, March 27 - 3:45 p.m.
  • Saturday, March 28 - 9:45 a.m.
  • Friday, April 3 - 3:45 p.m.

The highlight of the spring schedule is the annual Spring Game, set for Friday, April 17 at 6 p.m. It's a chance for fans to see the team in a game-like setting and get excited about the upcoming season.

Practices will take place at various locations, including L&N Stadium, the Trager Indoor Practice Facility, and the outdoor fields at the Howard Schnellenberger Football Complex. While fans are welcome to attend, they must stay in designated areas and refrain from taking photos or videos.
