Brohm Strikes Again As Louisville Lands Key Visitors

Jeff Brohm's strategic recruiting moves bolster Louisville's future, intensifying the rivalry with Kentucky for top in-state talent.

Louisville football is making waves in the recruiting world, securing its fifth 4-star commitment for the 2027 class with Ja’Hyde Brown choosing the Cardinals over Kentucky and other Power Four programs. Brown joins fellow in-state talents 4-star Allen Evans, 4-star Jordan Haskins, and 3-star Sebastian Blue, solidifying Louisville's stronghold in Kentucky.

Head coach Jeff Brohm and recruiting ace Vince Marrow are crafting something special with this 2027 class. They've already surpassed their 2026 haul of 4-stars, and it looks like they're just getting started.

According to 247Sports' Jody Demling, the Cardinals are set to host more top-tier talent, with Malachi Brown and Elijah Burns-Crump visiting today. These two in-state standouts are among the top uncommitted prospects, making this an exciting time for Louisville fans.

Malachi Brown, a 4-star defensive lineman, is ranked No. 244 nationally, No. 29 among defensive linemen, and No. 4 in Kentucky. He’s a hot commodity with over 18 offers from powerhouses like Ohio State and Alabama. Louisville is in a tight race with Kentucky, who slightly edges them out in the recruiting predictions, but the Cardinals are very much in the hunt.

Elijah Burns-Crump, an elite safety and teammate of Louisville commit Allen Evans, is also on the radar. At Trinity High School, Burns-Crump racked up impressive stats with 56 tackles, three interceptions (two for touchdowns), and a fumble recovery for a touchdown.

Louisville's recruiting class is currently ranked No. 8 nationally for 2027. With Brown's commitment and the potential addition of more top recruits, Brohm and Marrow are on track to make history with this class. The excitement is palpable as the Cardinals continue to build a powerhouse for the future.
