The Seattle Seahawks capped off a remarkable postseason run with a commanding win in Super Bowl 60, cementing their place as the NFL’s top team in the 2025 season. Their 29-13 victory over the New England Patriots wasn’t just a win-it was a statement. From start to finish, Seattle played like a team on a mission, leaving little doubt about who deserved the Lombardi Trophy.
But as head coach Mike Macdonald made clear on Monday, the celebration won’t last forever. The Seahawks know what comes next: the target on their back just got a whole lot bigger.
“We use the term ‘chasing edges’ here in Seattle,” Macdonald said during the Super Bowl handover press conference. “You have to live like that… you can’t be copying everybody else.
We want to be on the forefront of things. We know that - we know that we’re target No. 1 now.”
That mindset-always pushing, always evolving-is part of what got Seattle to this point. But staying at the top?
That’s a whole different challenge. The NFL doesn’t do dynasties easily anymore, and the rest of the league is already gearing up to knock the champs off their perch.
And the odds reflect that. According to DraftKings, the Seahawks are tied with the Los Angeles Rams for the best odds to win next year’s Super Bowl, both sitting at +950.
That’s no small thing, especially considering the Rams are a divisional rival. There’s no easing into a title defense when you’ve got a heavyweight like L.A. breathing down your neck twice a year.
Beyond the NFC West, the Buffalo Bills lead the AFC pack in terms of odds, while the Philadelphia Eagles, Patriots, and Baltimore Ravens are all clustered in that next tier of contenders. Notably absent from the top five? The Kansas City Chiefs, who fell short of expectations in 2025 and will be looking to regroup.
For now, though, it’s all about the celebration. Seattle will hold its championship parade on Wednesday, giving fans a chance to revel in a season that delivered everything they hoped for-and more.
But once the confetti settles, the real work begins. The Seahawks know the road back to the Super Bowl is never easy.
They’re not hunting anymore-they’re the hunted. And if they want to run it back, they’ll need to keep chasing those edges.
