The Los Angeles Rams have moved to the front of the Tyreek Hill chase.
NFL aggregator MLFootball reported Wednesday that the Rams are now being viewed as the favorites to sign the free-agent wide receiver. The account wrote, “The Los Angeles Rams are considered the FAVORITES to sign superstar wide receiver Tyreek Hill,” and also noted that Los Angeles currently has the best Super Bowl odds at 12 percent on Polymarket.
Hill’s résumé still carries plenty of weight. He is an eight-time Pro Bowler and six-time All-Pro, and plenty of people still label him a future Hall of Famer.
He became a free agent after Miami released him last offseason, and his return timeline has been slowed by a torn ACL and dislocated knee suffered in Week 4 of 2025. According to NBC Sports, agent Drew Rosenhaus recently said a comeback around October remains possible.
The market has shifted a lot over the course of the year. Earlier reports had other NFC teams in the mix, including one that pegged Philadelphia as the favorite and another that pointed to the Bears after Chicago’s odds jumped. For now, though, Los Angeles sits atop the board.
The fit is easy to see. Sean McVay already has Puka Nacua and Davante Adams, and adding Hill would give Matthew Stafford a third proven target with game-breaking speed. That kind of trio would make life miserable for defenses.
There are still reasons to pause. McVay has a preference for receivers who finish plays, and Hill’s blocking has long been a question.
Age and the knee injury also matter. But late-season speed can reshape a playoff run, and a healthy Hill would push an already strong Rams roster even higher.
This would be a luxury addition, not a roster repair. Los Angeles already looks like one of the league’s deepest teams.
Hill has stretched defenses in both Kansas City and Miami, and even at 32, he can still threaten the top of a coverage shell. If the doctors hold to that October window, he could still be available for the stretch run and January.
Stafford and McVay have worked with veteran pass catchers before, and they know how to create space for a player whose calling card is burst.
