The Los Angeles Rams won’t make fans sit on the new alternate uniforms for long. After unveiling two fresh looks - a Classic Sol design that nods to the nearby California Golden Bears and a Fearsome White combo built around white and blue - the team already has both debuts lined up on the schedule.
According to beat writer Nate Atkins of The Athletic, Classic Sol will get its first run in Week 2 on Monday Night Football against the New York Giants. Fearsome White will follow later in the season, making its first appearance the day before Thanksgiving against the Green Bay Packers.
That sequencing feels deliberate. The brighter Sol look arrives early, before the season tightens up and every game starts carrying extra weight. The Rams will be expected to handle the Giants, so it’s a clean spot to introduce the new threads and, ideally, show them off with a win.
Fearsome White comes with a different kind of timing. The Rams will wear it at home against Green Bay, and the blue-and-white palette lines up with the colder stretch of the calendar. The uniform is meant as a tribute to the Fearsome Foursome of the 1960s, though the design has already drawn some raised eyebrows for looking a bit too much like a Colts-style imitation.
The team’s new alternates were officially described this way: the Los Angeles Rams will have two new alternate uniforms this season, honoring the “Fearsome Foursome” Rams (1961-1971) and the “Crazy Legs” Hirsch Rams (1949-1957).
By the time the Packers game arrives, the Rams will be coming out of the bye and turning their attention to a demanding home stretch. The larger goal, of course, is to keep pushing toward a Super Bowl that would be played at SoFi Stadium.
In the broader rotation, the alternates add some variety to a wardrobe that already includes the Modern White road look, the Royal Blue home set, and the Midnight Mode uniform.
