The NFL’s first regular-season game in Australia is getting the full spectacle treatment, and the headline act for halftime at the MCG is already set.
The Jonas Brothers will take the stage when the LA Rams and San Francisco 49ers head into the break on Friday, September 11 AEST, which is Thursday, September 10 ET. The performance will be part of the league’s first-ever regular season matchup in Australia, turning the iconic Melbourne Cricket Ground into the center of the show for the night.
The group said they were thrilled to be involved in the event.
"We couldn’t be more excited to perform at halftime during the NFL’s first-ever regular season game in Australia,” the Jonas Brothers said after the announcement of their MCG set.
"Playing at the iconic Melbourne Cricket Ground in front of such passionate Australian fans is an incredible honour.
"We can’t wait to be part of this historic moment and celebrate with everyone in the stadium and watching around the world."
No other support acts for the halftime show have been announced yet.
The NFL’s Melbourne showcase comes with a broader music lineup around the city as part of a three-day NFL Kickoff Festival at Melbourne Park, which runs from Thursday, September 10 through Saturday, September 12. That festival sits next to the MCG and features a slate of Australian performers across the three days.
Thursday’s lineup includes Peking Duk, Kita Alexander, Jonas Brothers and Mashd N Kutcher.
Friday’s featured acts are Grinspoon, Hot Dub Time Machine, Public Figures, Jonas Brothers at halftime at the MCG, and DJ Tigerlily.
Saturday will feature Sneaky Sound System.
Recent Super Bowl halftime performers have included Bad Bunny in 2026, Kendrick Lamar in 2025, Usher in 2024 and Rihanna in 2023.
