Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas is gearing up to be the prime contender for hosting the Super Bowl in 2029. According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, it’s practically a done deal that the home of Tom Brady’s Raiders will once again become the epicenter of football's biggest spectacle.
The official nod is expected to come at the upcoming NFL owners meeting in Phoenix next week. Allegiant Stadium, a relatively new player on the scene since its 2020 debut, has already proven its mettle by hosting a memorable Super Bowl. Fans will recall the Kansas City Chiefs' nail-biting 25-22 overtime victory over the San Francisco 49ers there in February 2024.
Beyond football, Allegiant Stadium is no stranger to high-profile events. It’s a regular venue for UNLV football and has hosted WWE’s WrestleMania, set to return in April for a second year running. Looking ahead, the NCAA has chosen it for the CFP National Championship game in January 2027.
As for the next Super Bowl, mark your calendars for Valentine's Day 2027 at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles, the home turf of the Rams and Chargers. This will be SoFi’s second time hosting, with the Rams previously clinching a 23-20 victory over the Cincinnati Bengals there in 2022.
In February 2028, the NFL spotlight will shift to Atlanta’s Mercedes-Benz Stadium. This venue has its own Super Bowl history, having hosted the New England Patriots’ 13-3 win over the Rams in 2019, led by the legendary duo of Tom Brady and Bill Belichick.
Allegiant Stadium’s anticipated hosting of the 2029 Super Bowl is a testament to its growing reputation as a premier sports venue. The excitement is palpable as Las Vegas continues to solidify its status on the NFL map.
