Odell Beckham Jr. and Matthew Stafford shared a postgame moment that quickly became a talking point after “Monday Night Football.”
After the Rams’ 28-6 win, Beckham Jr. - who officially returned to the Giants this offseason - greeted his former teammate on the field. The two shook hands, Beckham Jr. hugged Stafford, and the pair spent several moments talking after the game.
Stafford had a huge night in the win, finishing 22 of 31 for 327 yards and four touchdowns. Beckham Jr., though, didn’t register anything on the stat sheet, and that left plenty of fans questioning how he fits into the Giants’ plans.

The Giants’ night got worse when starting quarterback Jaxson Dart left early with a knee injury. Dart walked off on his own with the Giants’ staff but did not return, and the offense struggled once Jameis Winston took over. Later reports said Dart suffered an MCL sprain and would be out for a significant time.
Beckham Jr.’s return to New York also comes with bigger-picture questions. After winning NFL Rookie of the Year in 2014 and earning three Pro Bowl selections, he could be nearing retirement.
