Chloe Kim says Myles Garrett’s response to her ADHD diagnosis came with a little teasing, but also plenty of support.
In a new interview with the California Post, the three-time Olympic medalist talked about what it was like to learn that she has ADHD earlier this month, and how Garrett reacted when she told him. Kim said the Los Angeles Rams star noticed something about her right away, even if he framed it with a joke.
"It's funny, because he's definitely the quiet one in the relationship, and I'm the one that can't shut my mouth to save my life," she told the outlet.
That contrast between them has clearly shaped the way they talk to each other. Kim said Garrett’s first thought was basically that she never stops talking.
"But in a way, I think at first he was like, 'Hmm, this girl talks a lot.'"
Since getting a diagnosis and beginning to receive help, Kim says she has seen changes in how she communicates, and Garrett has noticed too. When she’s away, he tells her he misses the sound of her voice and the nonstop stream of thoughts that comes with it.
"Whenever I'm gone, he's like, 'I do miss your voice bouncing off the walls. I do miss hearing you talk about all the random things,'" she shared.
Kim said Garrett was especially encouraging once she started opening up about the diagnosis. His reaction, she said, helped her feel good about taking the step to get help.
"I feel like he was so supportive when I got diagnosed. He was like, 'This actually makes a lot of sense for you. I'm proud of you for doing that, and getting the help,'" Kim said.
She also offered a small, funny example of what day-to-day life can look like now. Sometimes she forgets the things Garrett asks her to grab at the grocery store, including the cheese he wants for his cookies.
"Sometimes that involves him. I'm like, 'Okay, you said you wanted these cookies. I'll go get them for you, and I'm not going to forget, and get hung up on the things that I want, which is cheese,'" she explained.
"And he doesn't really like cheese like that. So you can imagine the disappointment in his face when I come back from the store and there are no cookies."
Kim’s comments offered a light look at life between two athletes who are used to handling pressure in very different arenas. Garrett is recovering from knee surgery as he works toward returning to the Rams, while Kim has been speaking openly about her diagnosis.
For Kim, though, the biggest point wasn’t the grocery-store mishaps. It was that Garrett sees her clearly and has backed her through the process of understanding herself better.

Rams Trade Deadline Plans May Hinge On One McVay Reality
Sean McVays latest comments offered a familiar kind of midseason Rams uncertainty, the sort that can shape everything from Sundays rotation to the trade deadline. Los Angeles is hoping to get key injured players back within the next month, and that timeline matters because the front office is still weighing how aggressive to be as the deadline approaches.
McVay made it clear that those injury statuses will help determine whether the Rams go shopping or stand pat, which is the real hinge point here. If the roster gets healthier soon, the pressure to add help eases. If not, the Rams may have to decide whether to trust the current group or look for outside help before the deadline closes. Rams Are Still Waiting On Myles Garrett For One Frustrating Reason
Around the league, the trade market has been moving fast enough to make every big swing look better or worse by the week. The Seahawks, 49ers and Bears have all made headline-grabbing additions, and the Rams are still waiting for their own major move to pay off after landing Myles Garrett.
What makes the delay so frustrating is the context around the deal. Chicagos package for Jeffery Simmons was in the same neighborhood as what Los Angeles gave up for Garrett, but the situations are not the same, and the Rams are living through the riskier version right now. Garrett remains on injured reserve and has not yet gotten back on the field, leaving Los Angeles with the kind of wait that can make an aggressive trade feel a lot less certain in the short term. Rams Chargers Suddenly Carries Bigger Stakes Than Just Bragging Rights
The Rams Week 8 meeting with the Chargers is shaping up to mean more than the usual Los Angeles bragging rights. With the NFL trade deadline set for Nov. 10, the game arrives at a moment when both teams could be thinking beyond the scoreboard, and the ripple effects may reach well past Sundays final whistle.
The Chargers are widely expected to be sellers no matter how the matchup turns out, which adds another layer to a game already carrying local intrigue. For the Rams, though, the stakes are more fluid, since their appetite for moving veterans could hinge on how they look in this stretch, while outside chatter has already started tying possible Chargers trade pieces and potential Rams targets to the deadline market.
