Davante Adams Has Rams Fans Watching One Thing Against Buffalo

Despite a subpar showing against the Eagles, Davante Adams' determination to rebound poses a potential threat to the Buffalo Bills in Week 5.

Davante Adams didn’t exactly come away from the Rams’ Week 4 win in Philadelphia feeling good about his own night.

Los Angeles grabbed a rare victory over the Eagles, but Adams had a rough one by his standards, finishing with four catches on nine targets for 32 yards. He also had a couple of drops, including one in the end zone. Adams knew it, and he wasn’t trying to hide from it.

On a recent episode of the St. Brown Podcast, co-hosted by Lions receiver Am-Ra St. Brown, Adams laid out just how much the game bothered him.

"We all have a game like me last game, I hated this last game I had. We beat the Eagles, and I'm grateful that we won the game, but personally I feel like I played like s***. So, me being p****d off for three days, or on the off day, do I go hit some balls and play some golf?"

That frustration is what the Buffalo Bills are walking into in Week 5, whether they’re ready for it or not.

Adams isn’t the kind of player who lets a bad outing slide. He had his share of inconsistency in 2025, but this season he has mostly been a steady force on an offense that has been inconsistent around him. Even after Week 4, he remains the Rams’ top receiver, and now he has a little extra edge.

And the thing about Adams is simple: when he’s rolling, he can take over a game. He showed that in Week 2 against the New York Giants, when he piled up nearly 200 receiving yards and two touchdowns. That kind of ceiling is exactly why Buffalo can’t afford to treat this like a one-man problem.

The Rams have other ways to make life miserable, too. Puka Nacua is back, and if the Bills overcommit to Adams, he’s more than capable of making them pay. Los Angeles has also gotten solid production in the passing game from Kyren Williams, Tyler Higbee, and Konata Mumpfield.

And if Buffalo starts loading up against the air attack, the Rams can turn to the ground game. Williams and Blake Corum form a one-two punch that can run wild if the defense gets too pass-heavy.

Adams doesn’t usually wear his emotions on his sleeve, which is part of why this stood out. Even when he was ripping his own performance, he stayed composed. Still, the message came through loud and clear: he wants back on the field, and he wants to fix what went wrong.

That’s a dangerous setup for the Bills. A frustrated Davante Adams is not the kind of player you want showing up on your schedule.

Aaron Donald's Rams Return Comes With One Big Bills Concern

Aaron Donald was back on the practice field Friday, a strong sign the Rams are preparing to have their centerpiece defensive tackle available for Monday Night Football against the Bills. Donald missed Week 4 with a back injury, but his full participation suggested the team is moving toward getting him back into the lineup after a cautious week of ramp-up work.

Sean McVay said Donald and other Rams were being built up gradually in practice with Monday in mind, a reminder that simply getting him back is only part of the equation. Los Angeles also plans to manage his workload carefully, balancing the need for Donalds impact against the realities of his injury and age as the Rams get ready for one of their tougher early-season tests. Rams Return Job Suddenly Looks Like A Real Problem Again

The Rams punt return picture, which looked settled only a few weeks ago, has turned murky again after Xavier Smith was released following three games and quickly landed on the San Francisco 49ers practice squad. Los Angeles has turned to Alex Bachman in the role since then, but his recent work has not quite matched what the team needs from a spot that can quietly swing field position and help stabilize a game plan.

With the answer no longer obvious, the Rams may have to keep looking inside the roster for a better fit. Dean Connors, Tutu Atwell and Max Klare are among the players who could be asked to step in, and the uncertainty alone is a reminder that special teams can become a problem fast when the return job stops producing. Rams Get A New Opening As Bills Enter Monday Shorthanded

Buffalos injury report has created a little more uncertainty around a Rams matchup that already carried some weight after the Bills loss to New England. Head coach Joe Brady confirmed that wide receiver Joshua Palmer and defensive lineman Ed Oliver will miss the game, trimming two important pieces from a roster trying to steady itself early in the week.

The Bills still have some moving parts beyond those absences, with DJ Moore and Dee Alford listed as questionable while Christian Benford is set to play. For the Rams, it adds another layer to a Week 5 trip that now comes against a Buffalo team trying to regroup while managing a shorter deck than it expected. [Read more 🡒]
