Davante Adams does not actually have a Taco Bell restaurant inside his home, even if plenty of fans were fooled by the viral look of it.
The whole thing traces back to a marketing stunt that turned into one of the stranger ongoing jokes around the Pro Bowl wide receiver. Adams signed on as a Taco Bell brand spokesperson in 2022, and part of the campaign was a running gag that he wanted an in-home franchise just so he could film commercials there. That bit took on a life of its own, especially as Adams changed NFL teams and Taco Bell kept feeding the joke.
The chain even leaned into the fantasy with fake real estate listings online that described his home and promised “sauce packets in every drawer.” That helped fuel the confusion for fans who assumed the setup was real.
On the Up & Adams Show, host Kay Adams brought up the viral fast-food backdrop behind the Los Angeles Rams wide receiver, which looked enough like a working Taco Bell to make the whole thing feel believable. Davante Adams used the moment to praise Kansas City Chiefs cornerback Trent McDuffie, saying, “I think he’s the best corner in the league.” He also called McDuffie “a dog.”
Kay Adams then wondered if McDuffie could get the same kind of perk, asking, “Can we get him a purple card?” Davante Adams agreed they absolutely needed to get the defender one.
The real setup, though, was a pop-up called “Davante’s House” built with a functional counter inside SoFi Stadium. So the viral restaurant-in-the-home story is just that - a story. Adams does not have a Taco Bell in his residence, but he has clearly had no problem playing along with the bit.
