United Football League wide receiver Samson Nacua - the older brother of Rams breakout star Puka Nacua - was arrested over the weekend in connection with an alleged vehicle theft involving Lakers forward Adou Thiero’s SUV, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
Authorities say the incident unfolded at the One Hotel in West Hollywood, where the SUV was tracked after reportedly being taken without Thiero’s consent. Security footage from the scene played a key role in identifying Nacua and another man, Trey Rose, as the individuals who arrived at the hotel in the vehicle. The two reportedly valeted the SUV before entering the hotel.
Shortly after the vehicle was located, law enforcement took both men into custody on suspicion of unlawfully taking Thiero’s car. As of Wednesday evening, Nacua and Rose remained in custody.
The situation is still unfolding, and while details are limited, it’s a surprising development for Nacua, who has been working to carve out his own path in professional football.
