Luka Doncic’s ongoing divorce dispute has taken a sharp turn in Slovenia, where Anamaria Goltes has filed a new claim seeking a total of $50 million.
According to TMZ Sports, $40 million of that amount would go to Goltes herself, while the remaining $10 million is believed to cover the couple’s two daughters. She is also asking to reduce Doncic’s custody time, which currently stands at at least two days a week with the girls, to just one day.
That filing comes after Goltes withdrew a California child support petition. In that earlier response, she said, “I am withdrawing my petition for child support with the specific intention of resolving this matter amicably and by a mutual agreement which is in the best interests of our children,” Goltes stated in the responsive plea.
Doncic and Goltes share two young daughters: Gabriela, who is two, and Olivia, who is seven months old. The couple had been together for about a decade before ending their engagement earlier this year.
Doncic has argued that the children live in Slovenia and said California was the wrong place for the earlier case. He had already begun proceedings in Slovenia that cover custody and support.
The Lakers star is in Slovenia now and wants to remain close to his daughters. He also skipped national team duty this summer to stay focused on the custody fight, and has said he would do anything for his kids.
The financial ask is what jumps off the page. The $10 million tied to the daughters may seem more in line with what people expect in a case like this, but the $40 million personal demand is a huge number by any standard.
