The Ontario Reign kept adding pieces to their roster this week, and the latest wave brought in a forward and two goalies on one-year AHL contracts.
On Thursday, the Reign announced the signings of Ryan O'Hara, Mattias Sholl and Owen Flores in a social media post. The three additions give Ontario more depth as the club continues shaping its roster for the upcoming season.
O'Hara stands out as the most interesting skater in the group. He put together a strong year with the Greenville Swamp Rabbits in the ECHL, finishing with 15 goals, 27 assists and 42 points in 72 games.
Before that, he built an impressive NCAA résumé at Bowling Green, where he totaled 36 goals, 53 assists and 89 points in 131 games. He also served as captain for the Falcons in the 2024-25 season.
For Ontario, O'Hara adds another forward who could push for a spot in the bottom six.
Flores brings a different kind of upside. In limited action with the Rockford IceHogs this past season, he went 3-1-2 with a .928 save percentage and a 1.98 goals-against average. Most of his 2025-26 season was spent with the Indy Fuel in the ECHL.
Sholl is back in Ontario after appearing in one game for the Reign last season. The rest of his year came with the Greenville Swamp Rabbits, where he and O'Hara were teammates. In 22 appearances with Greenville, Sholl posted a save percentage north of .910.
Taken together, the three signings may not grab the biggest headlines, but they do continue Ontario's offseason work on organizational depth. O'Hara gives the Reign another forward option, while Flores and Sholl add to the goaltending mix heading into training camp and the preseason this fall.
