Kings Unveil A New Look Built Around LA Identity

Discover the bold new look as the LA Kings unveil their "Hometown Remix" jerseys, blending local culture with the team's storied history in select games this season.

The Kings are adding a new look to the rotation this season, and it starts Wednesday night against San Jose.

Los Angeles will debut its “Hometown Remix” jersey on November 4, the first of seven Wednesday games the club will wear the uniform during the 2026-27 season. Every Wednesday home game is on the list except February 24, when the organization will retire Anze Kopitar’s number 11 to the rafters.

The full slate for the jersey runs through the season on Wednesday nights: November 4 vs. San Jose at 7:00 PM, December 9 vs.

San Jose at 6:30 PM, December 30 vs. Toronto at 7:00 PM, January 6 vs.

Washington at 7:00 PM, January 13 vs. St.

Louis at 7:00 PM, March 3 vs. Tampa Bay at 7:00 PM, and March 31 vs.

Winnipeg at 7:00 PM.

The jersey is part of a leaguewide project involving the NHL, Fanatics and all 32 clubs. From the Kings’ side, the design leans hard into Los Angeles street and art culture while pulling from the colors that have carried the franchise through six decades.

The team’s release described the uniform as a celebration of that history. Royal purple serves as the base, with a front crest built around a Hollywood-inspired serif font, a purple crown outline and pinstripe details. The sleeves feature palm trees with detailed debossing, and the inside includes six diamonds to mark the six decades of Kings hockey.

Brian Jennings, NHL Senior Executive Vice President and Chief Partnerships and Club Strategy Officer, said, “Few symbols in sports carry the history, pride, and emotional connection of an NHL sweater. Hometown Remix builds on that legacy in a fresh and authentic way, celebrating the fans, culture and communities that make each NHL market unique.

Together with Fanatics and our Clubs, we’ve created designs that are rooted in local identity and tell a story about the cities and fans they represent. We’re incredibly excited to bring the program to life and see that passion reflected both on the ice and in the stands.”

Dom Fillion, Vice President of Creative Design for Fanatics, added, “Hometown Remix represents the most exciting initiative our team has designed and delivered with our partners since we hit the ice with the NHL in 2024. What makes this program so special is the collaboration with each club and together leaning into the history, culture, fabric and identity of every city and fan base to make sure these felt as authentic and personal as possible. We can’t wait to see them worn by the teams on the ice and the fans in the stands all season long.”

The Kings are set to practice today at 11 AM at Toyota Sports Performance Center, the first of two practices scheduled this week. They return to game action Wednesday in their purple jerseys against the San Jose Sharks.

Kings Change Course With Top Prospect After Early Development Concern

The Kings are making an early adjustment with Vojtech Cihar, sending the 19-year-old forward from AHL Ontario back to the WHLs Kelowna Rockets after a brief stint in the pro ranks. A second-round pick in 2025, Cihar got a look with the Reign but found the transition difficult, managing only one assist in eight games as Los Angeles weighed the best path for his development.

Now the focus shifts to a bigger role in junior hockey, where Cihar should get more ice time and a chance to play through more of the game than he could in Ontario. The move also keeps him on track for the upcoming World Juniors, giving the Kings a chance to let one of their top prospects build confidence and momentum in a setting that fits where he is right now.
