Arseny Gritsyuk continues to elevate his game, adding a highlight-reel goal in the third period by batting the puck out of mid-air. Over his last six games, Gritsyuk has tallied three goals and two assists, backed by strong advanced metrics. Since March 3, he’s second on the team in scoring chances created, trailing only Timo Meier.
Gritsyuk's shooting prowess is evident, with 8.69 shots per 60 minutes, just behind Meier. While his season totals of 28 points in 62 games might not stand out, his consistent play and defensive reliability suggest he’s building a solid foundation for the future. A steady 40-50-point contributor would be invaluable for the Devils moving forward.
Jake Allen Holds the Line
Jake Allen returned to the net for the first time since late February, and while he showed some rust, he managed to stop 27 of 31 shots. Despite allowing a few low-danger goals, Allen's performance was commendable given the circumstances. The Devils’ defense struggled, delivering their fifth-worst performance of the season in terms of expected goals allowed at 5v5.
