Despite these challenges, he adapted on the mound, albeit not perfectly. "I was able to make an adjustment, but it wasn’t perfect."
The electric atmosphere at Dodger Stadium fueled his performance. "It was an amazing atmosphere even before the game started.
I’m really happy to be back pitching in front of the fans here," he said. The Dodgers' offense also played a crucial role, rallying after he allowed runs, which helped him reset mentally.

Reflecting on a challenging moment, he admitted, "Giving up that home run with runners on base was frustrating, but I was able to regroup after that, which was important." His approach was methodical, taking the game one inning at a time without a strict pitch count in mind.
Yamamoto also highlighted areas for improvement, particularly with his splitter. "I wasn’t able to finish my splitter the way I wanted, and some of them were too low," he explained.
Yet, the strength of the Dodgers' lineup instills confidence in him. "This lineup is really strong.
It gives me a lot of confidence on the mound."
