Magic Johnson Gets 18th Championship Ring Moment

Magic Johnson is set to add his 18th championship ring to his impressive collection at a Dodger Stadium ceremony, celebrating his multifaceted achievements in sports and business.

Magic Johnson, the iconic figure synonymous with the Los Angeles Lakers, continues to dazzle beyond the basketball court. While his on-court legacy with the Lakers is well-documented, his ventures off the hardwood have been equally impressive. As a part-owner of the Los Angeles Dodgers, Johnson is set to receive his 18th championship ring, a testament to his multifaceted success.

Johnson recently took to social media to share his excitement about receiving this latest accolade, following the Dodgers' thrilling seven-game victory over the Toronto Blue Jays to secure their second consecutive World Series title.

"Today is a very special day for me as I will be receiving my 18th championship ring tonight at Dodger Stadium," Johnson announced. "We will celebrate our back-to-back World Series Championships at ring night - I’m so excited!!!"

His championship tally is nothing short of remarkable. It includes a high school state championship with Everett High, an NCAA title with Michigan State, and a staggering 11 NBA championships with the Lakers-five as a player, five as a co-owner, and one as an executive. Add to that his triumphs with LAFC in Major League Soccer, the LA Sparks in the WNBA, and three World Series titles with the Dodgers.

In a lighthearted twist, Johnson also mentioned his success in the esports arena, noting, "I actually have a total of (20) lol, but I didn’t include my (2) E-Sports Championships as co-owner of Team Liquid!"

As the Dodgers embark on the 2026 season, the prospect of adding yet another ring to his collection looms large. Whether it's No. 19 or 21, depending on how you count the esports victories, Magic Johnson's winning legacy shows no signs of slowing down.
