The Dodgers are on a roll, keeping their perfect Cactus League record intact with a tight 7-6 victory over the Chicago White Sox at Camelback Ranch. This game was a showcase of resilience and skill, with Tyler Glasnow making his spring debut in style. He struck out four batters and retired six straight before allowing a hit in the third that eventually turned into an earned run after he exited.
Freddie Freeman got the Dodgers on the board early with a sacrifice fly in the first inning, followed by Miguel Rojas adding to the lead with an RBI single in the second. But the White Sox answered back with a two-run homer from Tanner Murray and a sacrifice fly from Lenyn Sosa, taking the lead. Edgar Quero's single further deepened the Dodgers' deficit by the end of the third.
The Dodgers weren't about to back down. Teoscar Hernandez brought Will Smith home with a grounder in the third, and later tied the game with a solo homer to left center.
The White Sox briefly regained the lead in the sixth through Curtis Mead's solo shot off Ben Casparius, but the Dodgers responded with fireworks of their own. Keston Hiura and Hyeseong Kim launched back-to-back homers, putting L.A. ahead.
Josue De Paula then extended the lead with an RBI single.
Chicago made it interesting with an RBI triple in the eighth, marking their first hit of the spring, but Dodgers' pitchers Kyle Hurt and Jordan Weems shut the door, keeping the White Sox at bay for the rest of the game.
With this win, the Dodgers now boast a 6-0 record, standing as the only undefeated team in both the Cactus and Grapefruit Leagues. They’re back at it Friday, squaring off against the San Francisco Giants on the road at 12:05 p.m. PT.
