The Dodgers will send a mix of high-end bats and injury-hit arms to the Arizona Fall League, with Eduardo Quintero and Charles Davalan headlining Glendale Desert Dogs roster announced Tuesday by Major League Baseball.
The 2026 AFL season runs from October 3 through November 13, and Quintero and Davalan arrive as two of baseball’s top-100 prospects. Baseball America’s post-deadline update in August had Quintero at No. 16 overall and Davalan at No.
- The two outfielders have been driving the High-A Great Lakes Loons and both were promoted to Tulsa on Sunday.
Quintero wasted no time making noise in Double-A, homering in his first game. They’ll now help the Drillers in the Texas League playoffs beginning Tuesday night, which comes one night before Quintero turns 21.
Glendale’s Dodgers contingent also includes four pitchers and two position players who all lost significant time to the injured list this season.
Left-hander Luke Fox was held to 27 1/3 innings with Tulsa after a hamstring injury cost him nearly four months. He came back in August, then got hurt again in his second start and missed another week and a half.
Brooks Auger missed the first month after a groin injury in spring training, then struck out 33.5 percent of the batters he faced in 59 2/3 innings for Great Lakes.
Cody Morse, another lefty, threw just 29 innings in relief for Great Lakes after spending three months on the injured list from the last week of April to the last week of July.
Marlon Nieves, 21, won California League pitcher of the week in April before a 10-week stint on the injured list that kept him out until July. He finished with a 5.22 ERA in 50 innings for Class-A Ontario, along with 57 strikeouts, 41 walks and only two home runs allowed.
Third baseman Chase Harlan will also head to Glendale. The Dodgers’ third-round pick out of high school in 2024 split time between Ontario and Great Lakes and hit .298/.403/.509 with 14 home runs and a 132 wRC+ in 86 games. He turned 20 in July and last played on August 8 before spending the final month of the season on the injured list.
Switch-hitting catcher Anson Aroz, a 19th-round pick in 2025 out of Oregon, posted a .256/.395/.391 line with a 110 wRC+ between Ontario and Great Lakes, with most of the damage coming with the Tower Buzzers in Class-A. He also missed two months on the injured list from June to August.
The Desert Dogs play at Camelback Ranch and are made up of prospects from the Dodgers, White Sox, Marlins, Pirates and White Sox. Ontario manager John Shoemaker, the Dodgers’ captain of player development in his 50th year with the organization, will manage Glendale in the AFL.
