Mike Sirota is moving again, and the climb has been fast.
The Dodgers outfield prospect has been promoted from Double-A Tulsa to Triple-A Oklahoma City, the Tulsa Drillers announced Friday. Sirota, MLB Pipeline’s No. 14 overall prospect for 2026, made his Double-A debut on May 19 and is now on track to join Oklahoma City for its playoff run. The Comets have only two games left in the regular season.
What has pushed Sirota this far, this fast, is a season built on constant traffic at the top of the lineup. He put together a 72-game on-base streak this year and has piled up 97 walks and 117 hits in 106 minor league games. That kind of production makes him a natural fit for a postseason roster, especially as a right-handed bat who keeps finding ways to reach base.
His rise over the last two years has been dramatic. Sirota was a third-round pick by the Cincinnati Reds in the 2024 MLB Draft, after the Dodgers originally drafted him out of high school in the 16th round in 2021 before he chose to attend Northeastern University. He later landed with Los Angeles in the January 2025 trade that sent Gavin Lux to Cincinnati.
The numbers keep backing up the buzz. In his first minor league season last year, Sirota hit .333 with 13 home runs and 54 RBIs in 59 games. In 2026, he followed that with a .306 batting average, a .459 on-base percentage, and a .985 OPS, along with 17 homers, 62 RBIs, and 13 stolen bases in 106 minor league games.
That performance has changed his standing inside the Dodgers’ system, too. Sirota was Los Angeles’ No. 21 prospect for 2025 on MLB Pipeline, and now he’s the organization’s No. 2 prospect, behind only outfielder Josue De Paula.
For Dodgers fans, Triple-A will be the next stop to watch closely. Sirota is expected to make his debut for Oklahoma City during the playoff run, and the move could also put him in position to begin the 2027 season back at Triple-A.
