The Dodgers’ farm system put together one of those nights where just about everything clicked. Four affiliate wins, 36 runs scored, and a lineup of standout performances across the board made for a clean sweep in the minors.
Eduardo Quintero headlined the action, and he did it in a big way. The Loons’ outfielder, already sitting on 57 RBIs in just 63 games, took center stage with a 3-for-5 night that produced five runs driven in as Great Lakes rolled past the TinCaps. Quintero has now gone deep in back-to-back games for the first time in 2026, and his seven total bases marked his highest output since late April.
Great Lakes’ 12-2 win had more than one layer. Zach Root delivered a quality start with seven strikeouts and no walks, then Isaac Ayon closed it out with a three-inning save, his first of the season.
Charles Davalan was the only Loons hitter to score more than once, crossing the plate four times, while Eduardo Quintero and Emil Morales joined him in the home run column. Quintero’s five RBIs led the way, and the TinCaps didn’t help themselves either, committing five errors that led to two unearned runs.
At Triple-A, Oklahoma City got just enough from its offense and bullpen to handle the Space Cowboys 6-2. Landon Knack was limited to 2.2 innings, so the win went to Christian Romero, his sixth of the year.
The Comets were sharp with runners in scoring position, finishing 4 for 7 in those spots, while the Space Cowboys came up empty in seven such at-bats. Zach Ehrhard opened the scoring with a first-inning homer, and Ryan Ward added another in the fifth.
Houston’s affiliate scored both of its runs on solo homers off Romero.
Tulsa found a way to survive a wild one, outlasting the Wind Surge 11-8 after a run in the ninth forced extra innings and the Drillers finished the job the next frame. The bottom three spots in the order did a lot of the heavy lifting, combining for more than half of Tulsa’s 13 hits.
Mike Sirota had one of the strangest productive nights you’ll see, striking out four times for a golden sombrero but still reaching base three times thanks to two walks and a hit. Taylor Young delivered two of Tulsa’s three extra-base hits, both doubles, and finished with four RBIs.
The Drillers also controlled the bases, swiping five bags without getting caught, with Josue De Paula moving to 21 stolen bases on the season.
Ontario rounded out the night by beating the Grizzlies 7-4 in a game that started with pressure but ended with control. The Tower Buzzers allowed a run in each of the first three innings, yet four different hitters turned in three-hit games to fuel the comeback.
Ontario’s pitching worked out of trouble all night, holding the Grizzlies to 1 for 19 with runners in scoring position. Will Gagnon picked up his third win despite a tough walk rate this season, tossing 2.2 scoreless innings in relief.
Easton Shelton kept his strong year rolling with a 3-for-4 line, two RBIs and a stolen base, pushing his OPS above 1.000. Mairoshendrick Martinus supplied the go-ahead swing in the fifth with a two-run homer, the Tower Buzzers’ only long ball of the game.
The day also brought a handful of roster moves. Oklahoma City activated Ryan Ward and saw Wyatt Mills get called up to the big leagues. Taylor Young was assigned to Tulsa, Jose Izarra was assigned to Great Lakes, and Ricardo Montero was placed on the injured list by Ontario.
