Dodgers Cancel White House Visit During Washington Road Trip

Dodgers' White House Visit Delayed: Scheduling Conflicts Postpone April Trip to D.C.

The Los Angeles Dodgers' anticipated visit to the White House won't coincide with their upcoming road trip to Washington, D.C. This April, when the Dodgers face off against the Nationals from the 3rd to the 5th, the team won’t be making the traditional stop at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue. The game schedule simply doesn’t allow for a daytime visit.

Last year, the Dodgers celebrated their World Series victory with then-President Donald Trump. This year, despite the scheduling challenges, it seems the Dodgers will eventually make their way to the White House to commemorate their 2025 triumph.

Dodgers manager Dave Roberts emphasized the importance of tradition, saying, “I was raised - by a man who served our country for 30 years - to respect the highest office in our country. For me, it doesn’t matter who is in the office, I’m going to go to the White House. I’ve never tried to be political.”

Looking ahead, the Dodgers might find an opportunity to visit after the All-Star break. They have a nine-game road trip planned in New York City and Philadelphia.

While a quick detour to D.C. before their series at Yankee Stadium would cut into their All-Star break, there’s a more convenient option. Following their Philadelphia games, the Dodgers have an off day on Thursday, July 23, which seems the most feasible time for the visit.
