Brady Ebel Stuns Dodgers with Homer in Cactus League Showdown

Dodgers Coach Dino Ebel missed witnessing a memorable moment as his son, Brady, hit a home run against his team in a Cactus League showdown.

CAMELBACK RANCH, AZ - In what might seem like just another spring training game, there was a moment that meant the world to one young player and his family. Brewers’ prospect Brady Ebel, son of Dodgers third base coach Dino Ebel, launched a home run in a Cactus League game against none other than his dad’s team.

Dino Ebel couldn’t witness his son’s achievement firsthand, as he’s currently on duty with Team USA in the World Baseball Classic. But you can bet the news traveled fast, and there’s likely a proud father ready to celebrate over a Zoom call.

Brady Ebel entered the game with the Brewers comfortably ahead of the Dodgers. At just 18, this first-round pick from last year’s draft stepped up with Milwaukee holding a commanding 18-7 lead.

Facing Dodgers prospect Kelvin Ramirez, Brady got a hold of a cutter and sent it soaring over the left-center field fence at a blistering 100 mph. As he rounded the bases on a field he knows well from his childhood, thoughts of his dad were surely with him.

Kudos to Brady! Here’s to many more homers in his career-though Dodgers fans might hope not too many come against their team!
