Bradley Beal is back on the market, and the Clippers are apparently not closing the door on a reunion.
According to Marc Stein of The Stein Line, Los Angeles has not ruled out bringing Beal back after an injury-hit 2025-26 season that limited him to just six games. The thinking in LA appears to be straightforward: Beal still profiles as a low-risk, high-upside swing, and the Clippers could explore re-signing him on what would likely be a team-friendly contract.
Miami remains the other major team in the mix. The Heat had interest in Beal even before he landed with the Clippers, and that interest has picked back up now that he is available again. Still, he is just one name on a broader list of veteran options Miami is weighing as it looks to add experience around Giannis and Bam.
The Heat are also said to be considering DeMar DeRozan and Russell Westbrook. Beal, meanwhile, continues to draw interest from the Boston Celtics because of his existing connection with Jayson Tatum, though both Boston and Miami are said to have concerns about his health.
Last season, Beal averaged only 8.2 points per game after dealing with a hip injury, but his ability to score has not been questioned.
Siegel recently said Beal’s “top landing spot” remains the Heat, who are expected to add at least one veteran after missing out on LeBron James. The financial side may end up deciding it, though, and Siegel noted it is unclear whether Miami wants to use its mid-level exception to meet the kind of value Beal passed on in Los Angeles.
And Miami has other possibilities on the table, too. The Heat have also been linked with Khris Middleton, Anfernee Simons, and Tim Hardaway Jr.
