Clippers Linked to Omier and Pedulla in Bold Roster Move

The Clippers bolster their roster depth by securing exciting two-way contracts for Omier and Pedulla, marking a historic moment for Nicaraguan basketball.

The Clippers are making strategic moves to bolster their roster by signing free agents Norchad Omier and Sean Pedulla to two-way contracts. This decision comes after the recent promotions of Kobe Sanders and Jordan Miller to the team's 15-man standard roster, leaving two-way slots open for Omier and Pedulla.

Norchad Omier, a versatile 6’5″ forward, has had an impressive journey through college basketball, playing for Arkansas State, Miami (FL), and Baylor over five seasons. His consistent double-double averages during his college career highlight his ability to dominate both ends of the court.

Although he went undrafted last year, Omier signed an Exhibit 10 deal with the Cavaliers but was waived, eventually finding his footing with the Cleveland Charge in the G League. There, he has showcased his skills by averaging 18.5 points, 11.1 rebounds, 2.6 assists, and 1.0 steal per game, with a shooting line of .603/.293/.774.

Notably, Omier is set to make history as the first player born in Nicaragua to join the NBA.

On the other hand, Sean Pedulla, a 6’1″ guard, also went undrafted after his time at Mississippi and Virginia Tech. The Oklahoma native initially signed an Exhibit 10 contract with Portland and has been playing for their G League affiliate, the Rip City Remix. Pedulla has been a standout performer, averaging 19.7 points, 5.3 assists, 4.0 rebounds, and 1.4 steals per game over 36 games, with a shooting line of .438/.359/.847.

With these signings, the Clippers are set to have a complete roster, poised to leverage the fresh talent and potential that Omier and Pedulla bring to the table. Their G League performances suggest they could be valuable assets as the Clippers look to strengthen their depth and versatility.
