The Clippers have added another shot-blocking presence to their frontcourt, agreeing to terms with free agent center Jamarion Sharp on a two-way contract, according to agent Scott Nichols, who told Michael Scotto of HoopsHype.
Sharp is set to turn 25 next month and comes to Los Angeles after going undrafted out of Ole Miss in 2024. Since then, he has spent most of his time with the Texas Legends in the G League, where his size and rim protection have made him stand out. At 7-foot-5, he put together a major 2025/26 campaign for the Legends, earning a spot on the G League’s All-Defensive team and taking home NBAGL Defensive Player of the Year honors after leading the league with 3.9 blocks per game.
That defensive identity has followed Sharp throughout his career. He led the NCAA in blocks at Western Kentucky in both 2021/22, when he averaged 4.6 per game, and 2022/23, when he posted 4.1. He also showed well for the Raptors during Las Vegas Summer League this month, averaging 7.4 points, 7.4 rebounds and 2.8 blocks in 18.2 minutes per game over five appearances.
The expectation, Scotto notes, is that Sharp will give the Clippers some depth in the middle while Yanic Konan Niederhauser works his way back from a pair of procedures on his right foot. The team has not provided a timetable for Niederhauser’s recovery, though it would be a surprise if he were ready for opening night.
