The Clippers are bringing in two more bodies for camp, signing free agents Miye Oni and Nathan Mensah to non-guaranteed Exhibit 10 contracts, the team announced today. At the same time, Fletcher Loyer has been waived after also being on an Exhibit 10 deal.
Oni is 29 and was the 58th overall pick in the 2019 draft. The former Yale standout spent three seasons with Utah from 2019-22, then spent the next stretch of his career moving between the G League and overseas opportunities.
The 6’5″ guard/forward, who competes for the Nigerian national team, played for the London Lions (England), Osceola Magic, Criollos de Caguas (Puerto Rico) and Joventut Badalona (Spain) from 2022-25. Last season, he appeared in both Puerto Rico and the Basketball Africa League. His most recent NBA run came in 2024, when he was in Memphis for training camp and the preseason.
Mensah, a 6’9″ big man from Ghana, entered the league undrafted in 2023 and later landed a two-way deal with Charlotte for a few months during the 2023/24 season. That stint gave him 25 NBA games, and he has also logged time in the G League, Greece, Romania and Turkey.
Both players are expected to be waived in the coming days, a move that would put them on track to collect bonuses worth up to $91K on top of their base salaries if they remain with the San Diego Clippers for at least 60 days in 2026/27. Law Murray of The Athletic (via Twitter) notes that Mensah appeared in one game for San Diego last season.

Clippers Roster Cuts Just Clarified A Key Part Of Their Youth Plan
NBA roster trimming day arrived Oct. 14 with several teams making the kind of moves that always seem minor in the moment but often hint at how the back end of a roster is being shaped. For the Clippers, that meant parting with Cam Christie and DeAndre Williams as they worked to get under the leagues 15-man limit before the Oct. 19 deadline, joining a wave of cuts that also hit Cleveland, Denver, the Lakers and San Antonio.
Christies name stands out a bit because he already got into Clippers games last season, while Williams looks like the sort of player who could land in the organizations G League orbit and keep developing from there. For a team trying to balance immediate roster math with longer-term player development, these decisions can say as much about the youth pipeline as the depth chart itself, even if the final destination for both players is still taking shape. Bulls Suddenly Enter A Star Chase That Could Change Everything
The Knicks have put Karl-Anthony Towns extension talks on hold for now as they turn their attention to defending a championship and sorting through other business, including Josh Harts contract situation. Even so, the numbers behind a possible new deal have not lined up yet, and the gap has created enough uncertainty to keep rival teams watching the situation closely.
One anonymous NBA executive recently mentioned the Bulls and Clippers as potential landing spots if Towns and New York never bridge that divide. For the Clippers, it is the kind of star-chase that always matters because their roster-building window is tied so tightly to finding the right high-end fit, and any opening around a player of Towns caliber would be worth monitoring all the way through the fall. Clippers Have An Obvious Two-Way Fix For A Growing Frontcourt Problem
The Clippers are still hunting for answers on the back end of the roster, and the need looks especially sharp in the frontcourt. With open two-way contract spots available, the team has a path to add some much-needed size and a player who can help absorb minutes inside while the regular rotation sorts itself out.
One name that fits the profile is Trey Jemison, a recent waiver from Toronto who already has some NBA experience under his belt. Los Angeles has been dealing with center depth and rebounding concerns as injuries have thinned that part of the roster, and adding a true interior body would at least give the Clippers a more stable option while they wait for the front line to get healthier.
