Travis Kelce Calls Out Eagles Star With Bold Nickname After Big Game

Travis Kelce's playful jab at Brandon Graham follows the veteran's record-setting performance in a dominant Eagles win, sparking both praise and a bit of brotherly teasing.

Brandon Graham might want to have a word with Travis Kelce the next time the Eagles and Chiefs cross paths. On the latest episode of the New Heights podcast, Kelce affectionately - and a little mischievously - dubbed the veteran defensive end “Grandpa Graham,” a nickname that’s already making the rounds.

The moment came as Travis and his brother, recently retired Eagles center Jason Kelce, were breaking down some standout performances from the weekend. Travis, always quick with a stat and a punchline, dropped this gem: “We got a LeBron stat of the game, our guy at 37 years old and 255 days… On top of those, 37-year-old Brandon Graham became the oldest player in Eagles history to record a sack in a game.

Here we go. B.G., ‘Grandpa Graham.’

He’s gonna f***ing hate that I said that.”

Now, if you know anything about Brandon Graham, you know he’s not the type to shy away from a little good-natured ribbing - especially from a Kelce. But don’t let the nickname fool you. Graham may be the oldest player in franchise history to notch a sack, but he’s still finding ways to make an impact when it matters.

After briefly stepping away from football before the season, Graham returned with one goal in mind: chase another ring. And even with limited snaps - just seven against the Raiders on Sunday - he made them count. Lining up in a different spot than usual, he got to the quarterback twice, proving that experience and savvy still go a long way in this league.

Jason Kelce, who spent over a decade battling in the trenches alongside Graham in Philly, couldn’t resist piling on. “’Grandpa Graham,’ everybody’s talking about old man [Philip] Rivers,” he said. “We got ‘Grandpa Graham’ on the Eagles.”

For context, Rivers - who suited up for Indianapolis on Sunday at age 44 - became the oldest quarterback to take the field after the longest break between appearances in NFL history. So yeah, the “old man” comparisons were flying.

But don’t mistake the jokes for disrespect. Inside the Eagles’ locker room, Graham is still very much the heart and soul of the defense. After the team’s dominant win over Las Vegas - where they held the Raiders to just 75 total yards - quarterback Jalen Hurts made it clear that Graham’s value goes far beyond the stat sheet.

“He’s a hell of a player,” Hurts said postgame. “He makes impact plays, but more than that, he sets the tone. He’s a leader for the younger guys, and he brings the energy every single day.”

At 9-5, the Eagles are heading into the final stretch of the regular season with the playoffs in sight. And while the nickname might stick, there’s nothing outdated about what Brandon Graham is doing on the field. If anything, he’s showing that age is just a number - especially when you’ve still got gas in the tank and a championship on your mind.
