Brock Bowers won’t be on the field when the Raiders open against the Dolphins, but the tight end’s name is still making noise off it.
Two months after Bowers proposed, his fiancée Cameron Rose is already working through wedding plans. Over the weekend, she posted from TRUSS, the restaurant at Four Seasons Resort in Napa Valley, California, and said she was there to scout a possible wedding spot.
“A little wedding venue scouting while I’m home.”
Rose also shared a look at a customized menu from the visit. At the top was a message that read:
“Congratulations, Cameron and Brock!”
The engagement itself became public on July 23, when Rose posted an Instagram reel showing Bowers surprising her with a ring and asking her to marry him. She followed that up with a caption that said:
“The best surprise of my life, right where it all started. Can’t wait to spend forever with you,” Rose wrote.
While the wedding checklist is moving ahead, the football side of things has taken a hit. Raiders coach Klint Kubiak said Friday that Bowers, who had been expected to play in Week 1, is out for the opener because of a knee issue.
“I was optimistic earlier that Brock would be able to go - he’s not. We’ll get him back soon.
It all happened pretty quickly; I don’t remember exactly what day. But he got it cleaned up, and we’ll get him back soon,” Kubiak said, according to the New York Times.
Bowers was limited to 12 games last season because of the knee injury, and the problem has continued to linger. Even so, he remains a key piece of the Raiders’ offense, and the team will be hoping to get him back as soon as possible.
