White has been the Raiders’ most productive receiver through three games, scoring three touchdowns. He also earned a game ball for his special teams work in Week 1, and his play in Weeks 2 and 3 drew praise as well.
To make room, the Raiders placed WR Jack Bech on injured reserve, waived WR Justin Shorter from the practice squad, and signed WR Phillip Dorsett to replace him on the practice squad.

White’s move up was the big one. As a practice squad player, he could have been signed by any team in the league without Las Vegas getting compensation, and several teams checked in. But White and his representation made it clear he wanted to stay in Las Vegas with Kubiak.
The Raiders had already brought White up for all three games, which meant the only way he could keep playing for Las Vegas in 2026 was to sign with the team. That outcome had been expected since Sunday night, and it became official Monday.
White’s path to the Raiders also came after the Seattle Seahawks put him on their practice squad, even though he had been strong in Seattle, including during the preseason. The Raiders moved quickly once he became available, viewing him as a priority addition.
Spytek’s approach has been clear: the best players play, even if he didn’t draft or sign them originally. In this case, that meant getting White onto the active roster before someone else could take him.
Kubiak praised that aggressiveness, saying, "Yeah, that's what I signed up for. Knowing what I was dealing with, knowing the professionals that John [Spytek] is, and [Brian] Stark, and Brandon Hunt, and BY [Brandon Yeargan], and Mark Thewes, our ownership. We're here to win."
