Raiders Fans May Not Love This Tom Brady Front Office Debate

Despite both transitioning from the field to executive roles, insiders find Matt Ryan's unwavering focus more formidable than Tom Brady's busy balancing act.

Tom Brady may still draw the louder reaction around the league, but one coach reportedly sees Matt Ryan as the more serious front-office problem.

That was the angle Mike Florio laid out on “PFT Live” in a conversation with Chris Simms, where he said the buzz he’s heard inside NFL circles points to Ryan’s full-time commitment in Atlanta as the bigger concern. Brady, of course, purchased a stake in the Raiders, while Ryan was named the Falcons president of football. But Florio said the feeling from at least one coach is that Brady is easier to live with because he’s stretched across too many lanes.

“I did hear from one coach that was like, ‘Hey, quit complaining about Brady. We like this.

Brady is spread too thin’” Florio said. “Now, the Raiders are 3-1, so in the short-term, the theory is being challenged, but Brady’s not all in.”

Florio then rattled off the list of outside commitments that, in that coach’s view, keep Brady from being fully locked into the Raiders job.

“Go ahead. Let him do all of the stuff he’s going to do.

Let him walk the runway. Let him do Gucci ads.

Let him advertise watches. Let him do this, let him do that.

Let him work for FOX while he’s supposedly running the Raiders,” the PFT founder continued. “But Matt Ryan’s the one I’m concerned about.

Because he’s there. He’s there all the time.

He’s getting himself fully immersed.”

That, Florio said, is why Ryan has become the name that some teams are watching more closely.

“He’s all in with the Falcons, and there are teams that are concerned about it.”

Ryan, like Brady, had been working in broadcasting before stepping into his new role, but he ultimately chose to focus entirely on the Falcons. So far, the results are speaking for themselves.

Raiders Fans Are Noticing One Kubiak Habit That Says A Lot

Klint Kubiaks sideline routine has already become one of the more talked-about parts of his early run with the Raiders, and it is not just because of the way he prepares. The new coach is known for bringing a meticulous approach to the job, but fans also have started noticing the faith-based touches that show up around him, a reminder that his coaching identity is rooted in more than just game planning.

During a recent game, Kubiak was spotted with AMDG on his playsheet, an acronym often used for Ad Majorem Dei Gloriam, which points to the religious convictions that shape how he works and carries himself. It is the latest detail to draw attention to a habit that has followed him into Las Vegas after a similar gesture with the Seahawks, and it adds another layer to a coach whose presence already has people watching closely for what he does next. Caleb Rogers Is Quietly Shaping A Raiders Culture Fans Will Notice

While much of the attention around the Raiders has centered on line play and weekly lineups, Caleb Rogers has been building a different kind of presence in his second season. The guard has been active in supporting teammates through his faith and constant encouragement, even leaving notes for them, a small but telling sign of the tone he is trying to set inside the locker room.

Rogers has also been on the field enough to matter, logging 89 offensive snaps this season and showing real strength as a run blocker. The challenge has come in pass protection, where he has struggled at times, including a recent game against the Chiefs in which he gave up multiple quarterback pressures. For a Raiders team trying to find both steadiness and identity up front, Rogers remains an intriguing part of the conversation on and off the field. [Read more 🡒]

Raiders First Loss Just Sparked A Tough Roster Debate

The Raiders first loss of the season did more than dent an unbeaten start, it also sharpened the conversation around a roster that still has several long-term decisions lurking in the background. With 2027 free agency already part of the evaluation, the focus shifted quickly to how individual players handled the matchup with the Kansas City Chiefs and whether their play reinforced the case for the team to keep building around them.

Malcolm Koonce, Tre Tucker, Cody White and Matt Gay all came under the microscope in that review, along with other names whose future in Las Vegas is now worth debating in a more serious way. For a team trying to separate reliable core pieces from players who may not fit the next phase, the loss offered a useful test, and the recommendations that followed could end up shaping how the Raiders approach extensions, retention and possible exits down the road.
