The Las Vegas Raiders are heading into the offseason with a clear mission: set rookie quarterback Fernando Mendoza up for success. After a tough 2025 season where they ranked last in scoring and total yards, the Raiders are eager to turn things around under new head coach Klint Kubiak. The combination of Kubiak and Mendoza, bolstered by the right supporting cast, could be the spark this franchise needs.
The road to improvement starts with addressing the gaps in their offensive lineup. With John Spytek at the helm of personnel decisions, the Raiders are eyeing upgrades, particularly in their wide receiver corps. One intriguing possibility is targeting New York Giants' wide receiver Wan'Dale Robinson in free agency.
Last season, the Raiders’ wide receivers struggled significantly after trading away stars like Davante Adams and Jakobi Meyers. Tre Tucker emerged as the leading receiver with 696 yards, but the drop-off was steep, with no other wideout surpassing 224 yards. This offseason, the focus will be on bolstering this unit, with Tucker, Jack Bech, and Dont'e Thornton Jr. as the only wide receivers under contract for 2026.
Enter Wan'Dale Robinson, who had a breakout year with 1,014 receiving yards and four touchdowns on 92 receptions. While he doesn't have a prior connection with the Raiders' new coaching staff, his skill set could perfectly complement Tucker and standout tight end Brock Bowers. Robinson's ability to line up in the slot addresses a key area where the Raiders need improvement.
At just 25 years old, Robinson is poised to grow alongside a youthful Raiders offense featuring Mendoza, Bowers, Tucker, Ashton Jeanty, Michael Mayer, Bech, and Thornton Jr. His consistent improvement each season suggests he has plenty of untapped potential.
The big question, however, is the price. Robinson’s market value is projected at four years, $70.6 million. While that's a hefty investment, especially with other pressing needs, if the Raiders can negotiate the right deal, adding Robinson could provide Mendoza with another dynamic weapon in the passing game.
