Odell Beckham Jr., the former All-Pro wide receiver, is eyeing an NFL comeback, and teams like the Pittsburgh Steelers, Buffalo Bills, and Las Vegas Raiders should be paying attention.
Beckham, speaking at the Fanatic Flag Football Classic with Kay Adams, expressed his desire to return to the field in 2026. "Looking forward to hopefully getting an opportunity to play this year, and hopefully, this is kinda just a starting point," he shared.
After sitting out the entire 2025 season, Beckham last saw action in 2024 with the Miami Dolphins, where he recorded nine catches for 55 yards across nine games. The year before, he played 14 games for the Baltimore Ravens, racking up 35 receptions for 565 yards and three touchdowns. While his prime may have passed, Beckham still offers potential value as a depth option for teams needing wide receiver help.
Why Steelers, Bills, and Raiders Might Be Interested
The Steelers, having secured DK Metcalf a running mate by trading for Michael Pittman Jr., still find themselves lacking depth at wide receiver. Beckham had previously hinted at discussions with Pittsburgh's projected quarterback for 2026, Aaron Rodgers, saying, “I love him, and we’ve had conversations,” on the Club Random Podcast with Bill Maher. With Rodgers expected to return, those talks might reignite.
The Bills addressed a major need by acquiring DJ Moore, but beyond Moore and Khalil Shakir, their depth chart looks thin. Beckham could provide a reliable backup option.
Meanwhile, the Raiders face uncertainty in their wide receiver lineup. Jalen Nailor is their only significant addition, alongside unproven 2025 draft picks Dont'e Thornton and Jack Bech, and veteran Tre Tucker. Adding Beckham could bolster their ranks.
While Beckham isn’t expected to be a game-changer, he could certainly enhance the depth for teams like the Steelers, Bills, and Raiders.
