Maxx Crosby isn’t interested in going anywhere.
With reports this week saying the Raiders have “ no plans ” to trade him again, the star edge rusher made it clear Wednesday that the feeling is mutual.
“ I love being a Raider. I’ve said that a million times,” Crosby said Wednesday, via video from Raider Nation Radio.
“This is where I want to be. Super excited, obviously for the present, but also for what’s to come.”
Crosby’s name has already been through one trade saga. The Raiders once dealt him to the Ravens, only for Baltimore to back out after he failed his physical. The issue centered on long-term concerns about Crosby’s surgically repaired left knee, and he was sent back to Las Vegas.
Even with that history, Crosby remains one of the league’s most valuable defensive pieces. The 29-year-old has put up 22 tackles, three sacks, a forced fumble, a pass defensed and 18 quarterback hits this season. He’s also been on the field for 88 percent of the Raiders’ defensive snaps.
For Crosby, though, the bigger picture is less about speculation and more about where the team is headed right now.
“I’m not thinking too far down the road. I’m being present,” Crosby said.
“We’re 4-4. We’ve got a really good football team.
I love this locker room. I love the guys.
We have great leadership. Klint [Kubiak] is a really good coach.
We have Robby [Leonard], who is a first time being a DC. He’s doing a hell of a job.
We’ve got a lot of new faces, new pieces, a lot of young guys as well.
“I love where we’re going. We’ve got a lot of work to do.
We know that. That’s the beauty in it.
Everyone can say whatever they want. We had this conversation last week [after a 35-21 loss to the Rams], and it was like the world is ending, and now it’s all these positive vibes.
For us, it’s about focus about this week, today, getting better. That’s the mindset of this whole team.
I’m excited about everything.”

Raiders Still Have One Problem That Could Ruin Their AFC West Push
The Raiders finally got a much-needed break with a close win over the Jets after snapping their losing streak, but the bigger AFC West picture still looks messy. Around the division, the Chargers have been uneven, the Broncos have had their own issues, and the Chiefs remain the standard, which means Las Vegas cannot afford to waste any momentum if it wants to stay in the race.
Even with that win, the defense remains the concern hanging over everything. The Raiders have been giving up points at an alarming rate, and until that side of the ball shows it can hold up for four quarters, every promising stretch on offense comes with a warning label. In a division where small margins matter, that kind of leak can undo a lot of progress fast. [Read more 🡒]
Raiders Midseason Free Agency Decisions Are Starting To Get Uncomfortable
The Raiders are already staring at some uncomfortable roster math as they look ahead to the 2026 season, with a handful of players entering contract years and forcing early decisions about who fits the long-term plan. The evaluation breaks the group into familiar buckets for a team trying to sort out its future: players worth extending, veterans who might need a reduced price to stay, and others whose best path may be out the door if the season keeps trending the way it has.
Tre Tucker and Matt Gay stand out as the clearest names in the keep-and-invest category, while the other end of the list is where the tension really starts to build. Some players are being viewed as stopgaps or as pieces the Raiders can move on from if the right young talent is ready to take over, which is exactly the kind of midseason roster conversation that can get awkward fast when a front office is trying to balance present needs against future flexibility. Raiders Face A Kirk Cousins Decision Fans Didnt Expect
The quarterback market around Kirk Cousins has taken a turn the Raiders probably did not see coming. With the November 10 trade deadline approaching, insider Tom Pelissero has suggested Las Vegas could have a real decision on its hands, and not just the kind that brings back a modest late-round flier. Cousins play and contract situation have helped create a more serious conversation than many around the league expected, which matters for a Raiders team still sorting out its long-term direction under center.
Minnesota has surfaced as a possible landing spot, and it is easy to see why the idea has traction. The Vikings have playoff aspirations, and there is already a built-in connection to Cousins through Kevin OConnell, which only adds another layer to the speculation. For Las Vegas, the question is no longer simply whether there will be interest, but whether the kind of return attached to Cousins changes the calculus before the deadline arrives. [Read more 🡒]
