Caleb Rogers Is Quietly Shaping A Raiders Culture Fans Will Notice

Discover how Raiders guard Caleb Rogers is inspiring his teammates and leaving a lasting impact beyond the field.

The Raiders’ September surge has given Klint Kubiak plenty to like, but the tone in the locker room has been just as notable as the results. After three wins in the month and a near miss at a 4-0 start in Sunday’s 30-27 loss to the Chiefs, the team’s new head coach has also helped foster a culture of faith that has taken hold with a number of players.

That has shown up in public and in private. The Raiders’ PR department has shared videos of Kubiak praying with the team after games, and the players’ reaction to Ashton Jeanty’s injury in August was another clear example, with teammates taking a knee and praying when Jeanty went down with what looked like a significant leg injury.

One player who has fully embraced that environment is second-year guard Caleb Rogers, who has found his own way to encourage the people around him. Before his first start of the season in Week 4, Rogers spoke about his faith in God and the habit he’s developed of leaving notes for teammates.

“I don’t really want to take credit for it as much as I want to give that credit to God. It’s just something that’s my way of, you know, fulfilling my purpose in life, which is to be a kingdom builder,” Rogers told Vegas Sports Today last week.

“Just trying to help people… fulfill my ministry and continue to help grow God and encourage people in whatever way they can… however that can help them. I mean it’s not about me and I don’t even know if people know.

I hope they don’t because I don’t want it to be about me. I don’t want people to say, ‘Hey I think you were doing that.’

I want them to feel like God is truly seeking out to them and that’s what’s most important.”

On the field, Rogers is still fighting for a permanent spot in the starting lineup. Through 89 offensive snaps this season, he has done solid work as a run blocker, but pass protection has been a problem at times.

That showed up against Kansas City on Sunday, when Rogers allowed five quarterback pressures and four hurries on 57 pass plays, according to Pro Football Focus analytics.

Raiders Fans Are Noticing One Kubiak Habit That Says A Lot

Klint Kubiaks sideline routine has already become one of the more talked-about parts of his early run with the Raiders, and it is not just because of the way he prepares. The new coach is known for bringing a meticulous approach to the job, but fans also have started noticing the faith-based touches that show up around him, a reminder that his coaching identity is rooted in more than just game planning.

During a recent game, Kubiak was spotted with AMDG on his playsheet, an acronym often used for Ad Majorem Dei Gloriam, which points to the religious convictions that shape how he works and carries himself. It is the latest detail to draw attention to a habit that has followed him into Las Vegas after a similar gesture with the Seahawks, and it adds another layer to a coach whose presence already has people watching closely for what he does next. Raiders Fans May Not Love This Tom Brady Front Office Debate

Tom Bradys move into the Raiders ownership picture already made him one of the most intriguing figures around the franchise, but the debate over how involved hell be in the front office has only sharpened since his retirement. Around the league, Brady and Matt Ryan are being compared as former quarterbacks who have stepped into executive roles, with Ryan now serving as the Falcons president of football and Brady balancing his Raiders stake with other commitments.

According to a coach cited by Mike Florio, Ryan is viewed as the more fully committed and potentially more impactful of the two because he has thrown himself entirely into that job. Brady, by contrast, is seen as having divided interests, which is the kind of assessment that could sit uneasily with Raiders fans hoping his influence will translate into a sharper football operation. Raiders First Loss Just Sparked A Tough Roster Debate

The Raiders first loss of the season did more than dent an unbeaten start, it also sharpened the conversation around a roster that still has several long-term decisions lurking in the background. With 2027 free agency already part of the evaluation, the focus shifted quickly to how individual players handled the matchup with the Kansas City Chiefs and whether their play reinforced the case for the team to keep building around them.

Malcolm Koonce, Tre Tucker, Cody White and Matt Gay all came under the microscope in that review, along with other names whose future in Las Vegas is now worth debating in a more serious way. For a team trying to separate reliable core pieces from players who may not fit the next phase, the loss offered a useful test, and the recommendations that followed could end up shaping how the Raiders approach extensions, retention and possible exits down the road.
