Missouri wouldn't back down, trailing just 69-68 with under three minutes to go. After taking a brief 70-69 lead, Aberdeen's free throws swung the advantage back to Kentucky. Oweh's bank shot extended it to 73-70, and another Aberdeen bucket made it 75-70 with just seconds left.

Missouri missed a critical lay-up, and Oweh's free throw sealed the deal. Aberdeen's final free throws iced the game, giving Kentucky a 78-72 victory.

Oweh, after a quiet first half, exploded in the second, finishing with 21 points, including two key three-pointers. That's the kind of performance you want from your star player when the pressure mounts.
