Kentucky Fans Finally Know When The Oklahoma Road Test Awaits

Football fans can look forward to a thrilling Week 7 in the SEC as key matchups like Florida vs. Texas and Alabama vs. Tennessee take the spotlight, with kickoff times and TV networks now set.

The SEC rolled out its Week 7 kickoff times and TV assignments on Monday, and the slate is packed from noon all the way into the night.

The day opens with a pair of conference matchups in the early window. Florida heads to Texas for a noon ET start, while Mississippi State goes to LSU at the same time.

Texas A&M also gets a home date in the early slot, hosting The Citadel at 1 p.m. ET on SEC Network+.

The biggest concentration of games comes at 3:30 p.m. ET, when three SEC showdowns hit the same window: Auburn at Georgia, Missouri at Ole Miss and Alabama at Tennessee. The conference left the specific network assignment open for those games, listing ABC, ESPN and SEC Network as the possibilities.

Florida’s trip to Texas stands out on the schedule. The Gators have been one of the league’s biggest early-season storylines under Jon Sumrall, while Texas entered October as one of the top teams in the country and a major College Football Playoff contender. Mississippi State’s visit to LSU also carries plenty of weight, with the Bulldogs showing signs of progress under Jeff Lebby and LSU trying to stay in the SEC and CFP picture as the schedule gets tougher.

The late window starts with Arkansas at Vanderbilt at 7 p.m. ET on ESPN2, followed by Kentucky at Oklahoma at 7:30 p.m. ET on SEC Network.

Kentuckys LSU Test Comes With Bigger Stakes Than Fans Realize

LSUs trip to Lexington in Week 6 of the 2026 season brings more than a familiar SEC matchup for Kentucky. It will be Lane Kiffins third visit to Kentucky in seven years, another reminder that the Wildcats are going to be dealing with a program that has leaned hard into roster churn and quick fixes through the transfer portal. The Tigers brought in 41 players to help offset a major offseason exodus, a massive reset that makes this game about much more than just conference positioning.

Among the newcomers drawing the most attention is Arizona State transfer quarterback Sam Leavitt, who is expected to play a central role in LSUs offense. For Kentucky, the challenge is as much about figuring out a rapidly rebuilt opponent as it is about protecting home field in a game that could say a lot about how the Wildcats stack up when the SEC calendar starts to tighten. The more encouraging sight for fans came from junior wing Kam Williams, who was back on the floor practicing as he works his way back from foot surgeries. Any glimpse of Williams moving around again matters for a Kentucky team still trying to sort out its early-season picture, and his presence at Pro Day gave the event a little extra relevance beyond the pro scouts in the building.
