Texas A&M’s trip to No. 14 Missouri opens the day with a team the Tigers are dealing with after a huge home win against Florida.

A&M steadied itself against Arkansas last week, but the Aggies still have some flaws. Missouri can push itself into legitimate playoff-contender territory with a win.

Arizona at West Virginia has the feel of a game that could turn into a shootout in Morgantown. The Wildcats have been winning without always looking clean, while the Mountaineers are trying to recover after close Big 12 losses to Oklahoma State and Iowa State. It’s the Rich Rodriguez Bowl.

No. 25 Pittsburgh gets a ranking and now has to play without star quarterback Mason Heintschel against North Carolina.

That gives the Tar Heels a real chance to grab a quality road win in the noon slot. Wake Forest’s road win at Louisville held up Friday night, and a victory at NC State would give Jake Dickert’s group a real path toward the ACC Championship Game.

No. 7 Indiana’s trip to Nebraska is another one to watch closely.

The Hoosiers haven’t exactly been sharp, but the win over Northwestern looks better now. Nebraska has kept outperforming expectations, though the schedule has been soft, and the Huskers’ long losing streak against ranked teams hangs over this one in Lincoln.

South Carolina at No. 16 Florida brings two teams that need answers.

Shane Beamer needs wins, but South Carolina keeps falling short. Florida is coming off a “rat poison” performance against Missouri and now has to show how it handles some adversity.

The source material calls these possibly the two worst defenses in the SEC, so points could come fast in Gainesville.

No. 9 Ole Miss comes off a bye after the loss to Florida and heads to Vanderbilt, which is riding a losing streak. The Rebels have major problems defensively, but they should score enough to get Vandy’s offense involved and keep this one tight into the fourth quarter.

The Red River showdown between No. 1 Texas and Oklahoma carries its own wrinkle: the Sooners have not scored a touchdown in this rivalry game under Brent Venables when Dillon Gabriel isn’t at quarterback. Texas has issues on offense too, which opens the door for Oklahoma to be a live dog if it can find something on that side of the ball.

No. 22 Houston at Kansas State should be one of the more entertaining afternoon games.

The Cougars had to rally past UCF, while the Wildcats were rolling before a disappointing loss to Cincinnati. Both offenses can move, and this one has real potential in the Little Apple.

No. 21 UCLA’s trip to No.

13 Oregon is one of the biggest measuring-stick games of the day. Bob Chesney’s first team in Westwood gets tested in Autzen Stadium, with Dante Moore out and Dylan Raiola in at quarterback for the Ducks.

UCLA’s limited passing-game production could be exposed.

No. 15 Tennessee at Arkansas is notable because the Vols are making a quarterback change.

George MacIntyre will make his first career start. Arkansas has been a get-right spot for everybody, and Tennessee is trying to get its passing game going.

North Dakota State at UNLV is another game with playoff implications in the Group of Six picture. The Bison are being talked about as a real contender in year one, but they need a road win.

UNLV has won two straight and put up 39 points against California last week. Jackson Arnold has been a spark, with 13 total touchdowns and no interceptions.

Then comes the nightcap trio at the top of the sport. No.

2 Georgia at No. 6 Alabama is the one everyone circles.

Kirby Smart is still chasing his first regular-season win over Alabama, while Kalen DeBoer is looking to stack another major victory. No.

19 USC at Penn State follows in the White Out Game, with the Nittany Lions already out of the playoff hunt after the loss to Northwestern and the Trojans in danger of the same fate if they lose again. USC’s road struggles under Lincoln Riley are part of the backdrop.

Late at night, No. 23 Boise State visits Fresno State in a game that matters in the Group of Six race.

The Broncos are viewed as the favorite, but they can’t afford another loss. Fresno State has won three straight in the series, so Boise State has a real challenge on its hands.

Kentucky Gets A Needed Boost Despite One Late Availability Concern

Kentuckys latest availability update brought some clarity going into the weekend, and it came with a bit of relief for a roster that has already spent plenty of time juggling injuries. Under the SECs new weekly reporting policy, the Wildcats had to file an official status update Friday, and it confirmed several players will be unavailable, including defensive tackle Kalen Edwards, who moved from doubtful to out.

Even with that setback, the bigger picture is more encouraging for Kentucky as it heads into the next game. The Wildcats are still expected to be short-handed, but the sense around the program is that at least three of the teams top players are on track to make it back onto the field, giving the roster a much-needed boost at a time when depth has been tested. Kentucky Fans Get A Game Day Warning Before Sold Out LSU Night

Kentucky fans heading to Kroger Field for the sold-out LSU game are being asked to plan for more than just a full house Saturday night. Kentucky Athletics issued a weather advisory ahead of the 7 p.m. ET kickoff, noting that rainy and windy conditions are expected and that the program has already adjusted its game-day plans accordingly.

The most visible change is a rescheduled halftime drone show, while fans are being urged to come prepared with rain gear and to make sure tailgating items are secured before heading inside. The department also put out additional traffic and parking guidance to help handle the crowd, a reminder that a major SEC night at home can turn messy even before the teams take the field. Kentucky's Passing Surge Is Making One SEC Program Look Wrong

When Kentucky went looking for help in the passing game, Kenny Darby fit the kind of profile that can change a room quickly: a freshman receiver with SEC-level upside who had already been through a recruiting detour before landing in Lexington. Darby originally committed to LSU, but the new coaching staff did not keep him in the fold after Lane Kiffins arrival. Once Will Stein brought Joe Sloan aboard as offensive coordinator, Darby flipped to Kentucky and has wasted little time turning opportunity into production.

Through five games, Darby has become Kentuckys leading receiver, and the pace he is on has the Wildcats watching their freshman record book with real interest. He is tracking toward several program marks for a first-year pass catcher, which only sharpens the sense that Kentucky may have found more than a useful addition. For LSU, it is another reminder that roster turnover can come with a cost, and for Kentucky it is a sign the passing game is beginning to find a player who can grow into something bigger.
