Kansas State Keeps Pushing For A Key 2028 Defensive Line Target

Kansas State ramps up its recruiting efforts with offers to top high school juniors in the 2028 class, including standout defensive lineman Ronald Crawford.

Kansas State’s recruiting board keeps growing, even if the commits haven’t started rolling in yet for the 2028 class.

The Wildcats recently added another big-name target to the list in three-star defensive lineman Ronald Crawford, who announced Wednesday that he had picked up an offer from Kansas State. Crawford attends De La Salle High School in New Orleans, Louisiana, and already has 15 other Division I offers on the table, with Auburn, Baylor and Houston among them. He’s also regarded as one of the top defensive linemen in his class.

"Blessed to receive my 15th Division 1 offer from Kansas State University," Crawford tweeted. "All Glory to the Man Above!"

Kansas State has not landed a 2028 commit yet, but the staff is clearly casting a wide net with rising juniors across the country.

One of the other recent names to surface is Antonio Dural, a two-way player at Klein Oak High School in Spring, Texas. Dural works at both cornerback and wide receiver, and Wildcats cornerbacks coach Marcel Yates is the one who extended the offer.

Last season, Dural posted 15 total tackles and five pass deflections on defense, while adding 30 offensive touches for 468 total yards and three touchdowns. SMU, Kansas and Nebraska are also in the mix.

The Wildcats also offered four-star edge rusher Steven McClendon from Douglas County High School in Douglasville, Georgia. McClendon put together a strong season with 51 total tackles, four sacks and eight tackles for loss. Kansas State’s 2027 class already includes seven defensive linemen, with two edge rushers in that group, and the program’s latest haul has been described as one of its best in years.

Another defensive back on the board is four-star Bryce Willingham, who plays at North Atlanta High School in Atlanta, Georgia. Kansas State has joined his offer list as it continues to look ahead on the back end of the defense.

The Wildcats also offered four-star defensive back Bryson Hazley from East Laurens High School in East Dublin, Georgia. Hazley finished last season with 41 total tackles, five interceptions and five pass deflections, and his other offers include Florida, Maryland and Georgia.
