Kansas State Hit With Early Transfer Portal Shakeup

Faced with a major rebuilding challenge, new Kansas State coach Casey Alexander prepares to navigate the transfer portal as departures loom after a disappointing season.

In Manhattan, the Kansas State Wildcats are entering a new era under the guidance of their freshly appointed head coach, Casey Alexander. With the transfer portal opening on April 7, Alexander faces a significant challenge as he looks to rebuild a team that saw a tough 12-20 season under former coach Jerome Tang, falling short of NCAA Tournament expectations and finishing 15th in the Big 12.

Alexander, who spent the past seven years at Belmont, is known for his knack for blending transfer talent with homegrown high school recruits. His ability to craft competitive teams will be put to the test as he steps into this new role.
